Our 2 sugar maples (pictured above in 2006), will begin to transform
in October.
This color remains long after other trees are bare.
Our Mississippi River Valley trees normally begin to transform
in late
September, and peak in mid-late October.
This year they seem to be a bit earlier than usual, due to our
drought this summer.
We're seeing
color now and by the third week of October we should be close to peak.

The maple trees on our street are phenomenal.
The two trees in the photo above,
live right outside our front door,
and begin to transform in mid-late October.
The Mississippi River Valley puts on a magnificent show
during
the months of October and early November.

east, or west,
