Why is being healthy and exercising regularly so important to me? From a young age I always loved exercise and competed in many sports, but when you're a gym owner only 33 years old and passionate about what you do, having a diagnosis of back problems is really hard to deal with. Fast forward 7 years and a new scan showed more degeneration and further problems. It was confirmed I had 2 bulging, 2 degenerated and a split disc in my lumbar spine from L1 to L5 I had to do a lot of learning and change how I exercised which was hard and on times I felt like giving up.The thing is with my back issue, I can be absolutely fine for months, the a disc will bulge, press on a nerve and the pain is unexplainable and completely debilitating. It can take anything from a few days to a few weeks to improve and carrying on with normal life, running a business, being a mum to a 6 year old and trying to keep a poaitive mindset is challenging. I am forever grateful for my education, my commitment to self development and ultimately my mindset, because all of this gets me through the tough times, the pain, the fear of it not actually improving this time. Mindset absolutely matters most. Determination, self love, and a never give up attitude. With these things you can achieve pretty much anuthing. #pain #selfcare #personaldevelopment #mindset

MOTIVATION HACKS🫡🔥.Have you ever really wanted something but just haven’t felt motivated ? Or have days or times where motivation just isn’t there… .That’s because it’s an emotion. It won’t always be there. The same as when you’re sad, or feeling shit. It doesn’t last forever providing you don’t base all of your ACTIONS off of your EMOTIONS. .How you choose to act when you FEEL this way is a choice. .Discipline in this scenario will help, however, most people need something a little more meaningful than that to work through the hard stuff when you don’t want too. .Find your reason for WHY you have these goals. Not the superficial stuff, the deep reasons behind why you thought these goals were worth writing down in the first place. .If you don’t have any, you don’t really want it and what you’re aiming for isn’t that meaningful. .It’s a very easy way of determining whether you actually want something, or if you’re just picking superficial goals and genuinely thinking that’s what you want. .Find what you genuinely want in life, secure that with clear reasons why and you will have a better attitude than the majority. And that’s all you need 🤷🏻♂️.If you found this helpful, click the link in our bio..We have plenty of FREE info for you on the first page of the site 🤌🏻 #TeamPB #motivation #gym #goals

PainIt's the indication of us being truly alive!!What does that mean??Well, on Monday I resumed my strength training, and it was a circuit of exercises...like all body parts were taken.Honestly, it was easy and I was feeling like "Yeah I got this"Today, it was just the opposite In short, I got my a** whopped 🙈🙈How?? Me being the uber talkative self...told the trainer that "Yesterday was too easy, I want to truly be challenged"And the guy said "Okay, do 200 pushups, but rather than sets of 25 (my usual), do it in sets of 50, or maybe even more"Set 1: Done...but body achingSet 2: Also done, but the pain got unbearable Set 3: I couldn't even lift myself after 10 🙈The trainer was like "Boy, what is it with your challenge"I just shouted in pain "It's too painful to even lift myself up, especially after the weight training"The trainer smiled and said "Well kid, you're alive, that's what the pain is telling u, your muscles got a life, it is not something u want but something u NEED".This made me think :Isn't the same with life?? When we face our shadow, it's definitely the most painful when we don't accept it.But the pains are an indication that:1. There IS something which needs to be addressed.2. There IS happiness, because pain and happiness always come together, it's a matter to have the eyes to see them. 3. When we overcome pains, we're met with excitement once we truly cross and learn them. Pain is a gaugement of learning!!So be it physical workout, a painful experience at work, or even internal shadow work....NEVER AVOID PAINS! You're unknowingly shutting down life itself!PS: Well the trainer had just intentionally said 200 to fire me up lol 😆, the challenge was "how much max I can do".PPS: Thank u again Sami mom for the motivation for strength training, it's like a revision of life lessons!!How do u face the pains of life?#pains

Students are often found indulging in negative self talks. There are several reasons for it:- Comparing themselves to their peers- Feel of Failure- Lack of Support And a lot more....If students redirect their negative self talk to positive, they will have better academic outcomes. And increased self worth and confidence in their abilities. Here are 3 ways to do it:1. Surround yourself with positive people:Spending time with people who lift you up and make your feel good about yourself. They can be your family members of your classmates.2. Practice Mindfulness:Mindfulness means being present in the moment. When you are mindful, you can observe your thoughts. It can help you become more aware of negative self talk and you can let them go.3. Practice Self care:Taking care of yourself can help you cultivate a positive mindset.Make sure you are eating healthy, exercising regularly and getting enough sleep.Teach your students about these ways and tell them to implement it.You'll see a Positive Change in them.P.S: Have you tried teaching them any of the above tips?#positiveselftalk #deans #students #principal #Keynotespeaker #Aviwolfson

Ever since I tried it for the first time, 𝐓𝐑𝐗 (Total Body Resistance Exercise) has become my favorite training routine. It is challenging and demanding, but it’s also very rewarding.Last night, in my 3rd week since I’ve gone back into it after a very long pause, I had a locker room conversation with two women who had tried it for the first time. This is the type of training that 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐣𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲, and 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐲 at the sight of the stairs to exit the gym. They shared how they had doubts about coming back for a second class, and we discussed the benefits and the pains of establishing a routine.I realized through this conversation that every beginning is like the first TRX training:🫨 You don’t know what you’re doing when everybody else seems an expert.😵💫 You feel like you’re going to die and make a fool of yourself in the process.🤬 You think the coach hates your guts and wants you to sweat pure pain.😭 Your enthusiasm was murdered, and you feel your goal is unattainable.😵 You tell yourself this is not for you, and you are never trying this again. If this is you, I am here to tell you that 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡; it means you are doing something, and however little you achieve, 𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕. Whatever new thing you are trying right now, be proud of that squat you’ve done better this time, that speech you delivered without having a panic attack, that post you wrote without closing your eyes when pressing “post”, that job interview where you negotiated your salary, that first therapy session you took without feeling you need fixing. 𝐁𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥. 𝐁𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬. They are not called growing pains for nothing. As for TRX, I’d give it about 𝟒 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 before deciding if it is for you or not; you might start enjoying the 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 and 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡your body is capable of 🙃😜.#growth #motivation #power

EXERCISE IS THE KEY TO BUILDING DISCIPLINE 🔑 I truly believe that one of the best ways to begin building personal discipline is through something as simple (yet challenging) as exercise. I’ve personally made exercise a non-negotiable part of my daily routine from Monday to Friday for nearly the last decade. It’s no longer just about maintaining physical health; it has become an effective way to train my mind and build mental resilience as well. Showing up for myself, even when I don’t feel like it, has taught me that only YOU can make the difference in achieving what you want—no one else can do it for you.One of the best parts about exercise is that the results you achieve cannot be bought or borrowed to show off; they are simply a true reflection of the work you’ve put in (or not). Granted, there are exceptions for those with health conditions or disabilities, but you get the idea of what I'm saying.Exercise doesn’t have to cost you money either. Your currency for exercise should be time and effort (maybe some money as well if you really want to join a gym or get a trainer). Here’s my point ⬇ 👟 How much money does it cost you to go for a jog? None.👟 How much money does it cost you to do some push-ups? None.👟 How much money does it cost you to go for a walk? None.Once you build the discipline to exercise regularly and start to see the results of your efforts, it’s not only rewarding but also motivating to keep challenging yourself. This mindset can then be applied to pretty much anything else in your life to grow! 💪Comment your thoughts below or even share this post if you agree 😎 #exercise #motivation #discipline #mindset #mentalhealth

TRAINING IS STOPPING YOU IMPROVING 🤔Are you training hard but getting absolutely no where? Sounds crazy, but you might be training too much 🫗The General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS) theory explains the body’s responds to stress, which in this case, is Strength & Conditioning. Here’s what happens: After training, your body goes through the Alarm Phase - the body’s reaction to training. It recognises this as shock response, such as fatigue, soreness etc. This leads to a decrease in performance 🚨Next, comes the Resistance Phase - where your body recovers from training. Given enough recovery time, you body adapts to this and will improve your strength/power/speed/endurance levels. This helps you to handle previously challenging training more efficiently 🔋BUT…If the training was too stressful or you haven’t had enough recovery time, you enter the Exhaustion Phase, which can lead to overtraining, burnout, injury and a plateau in your levels. Your body fails to recover, and performance reduces 😮💨⬇️We want to avoid this. The main reason people enter it is by training too much, not allowing enough time for the body to adapt, leading to no improvements. In this case, less is more ⏳For example, if training to improve power, you need 48-72 hour’ between sessions to fully recover, because this time is used to allow your muscles and central nervous system to adapt and recover. If you train before this time passes, you’re just putting more stress on your body without making any improvements 📏Rather than doing 5 power sessions a week, you’re better off doing 2 high quality sessions, and allowing time for your body to recover. This doesn’t mean you can’t train in between. You can work on other areas of your performance. For example, your training could look like this:➡️ Monday - Strength/Power 💥➡️ Tuesday - Endurance 🏃♂️➡️ Wednesday - Active Recovery 🔋➡️ Thursday - Strength/Power 💪➡️ Friday - Endurance or Speed 💨Focus on quality and allow your body time to adapt - you will definitely start to see progress. Respect the science and it will respect your body 👊#strengthandconditioning #sportscience #performance #growthmindset #periodisation #adaptation
